Forget your land yacht-sized “mini” vans from Honda, Toyota, Kia, and Chrysler. Instead, get a load of the Ford Transit Connect. Recently discontinued, these smaller minivans with a sleek Euro look are where it’s at. Very reasonably priced on the used market, these Fords are the antidote to bloated minivans with strange sheetmetal. I mean, the Toyota Sienna is objectively awesome, but pretty? I think not. And it ain’t cheap.
With the Transit Connect, you get three rows of seating, a surprisingly spacious cabin, and a low dose of tech. Carting around kids is hard enough, so skip all the tech-heavy hootenanny of today’s modern rides and go the simplified route. Easier on the wallet and far better on the eyes than the rest of the minivan segment, Ford’s Euro-van is an under-the-radar homerun for families. We love ours.
